Week 34

Here are some highlights from the week...

The math farm unit is here! This unit involves place value, money, area & perimeter, mapping and computation. As part of the unit, first graders will be building and maintaining their own "farms." :)

We had our final session with our Artist in Residency. The students were both scientists and artists as Karie showed the science behind clay and the first graders got to glaze their clay projects! HUGE thank you to Jenn (Sasha's mom) and Chris (Emma M's dad) for their help!

The weather got nice towards the end of the week, just in time for buddies! The first and fourth graders read together in the library and then played with each other outside. Both me and Mr. Graham are beyond impressed by how well they all work and play together!

Finally, what a special week at Stephenson! Thank you all so much for the thoughtful cards, gifts and flowers. I feel incredibly appreciative and fortunate to be part of such a supportive community!

Reminders:

5/9 -- Scholastic Book Order DUE!
5/10 -- Field Trip to Plumper Pumpkin Farm
