Week 38

It has been an amazing 38 weeks in Room 112!

Field day was a success! The weather was sunny and warm and the kiddos cooled off with some dunk tank splashes and water balloons. We had some soggy first graders at the end of the day :)

The entomologists have gotten to see the complete metamorphosis of our meal worm larvae! Some students now have darkling beetles crawling around in their study vials :)

On Friday, the first graders got to visit Mrs. Herder's class to see the second graders rain forest projects. They got a little preview of second grade work, and the first graders seem ready for it!

Finally, we ended the week by celebrating all of the summer birthdays with some Honey Nut Cheerios (compliments of my brother), and our belated field day popsicles. It was a yummy way to end the week!

Reminders:

*Homework folders will be going home tomorrow with the Multnomah County Library Summer Reading game and an optional math packet for summer -- you may keep the homework folder!

6/8 -- Afternoon desk clean out (your first grader will be coming home with all of their school supplies)

6/9 -- Last day of school!

Here are some photos from the week...
