Here are some highlights from the week...
The kindergarten, first and second graders had their musical performances last week! It is always fun to see the results of their hard work and practice. We had quite the audience on both days!
As we continue our study of insects, we are focusing on specific insects and writing "all-about" paragraphs to record what we are learning. Of course, as we read and learn, it prompts further questions. Last week the first graders engaged in a pretty philosophical discussion when the question "how did the first bee get made?" came up. It was exciting to hear the discourse that followed and I prompted further discussion by asking them, "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" There were lots of philosophies!
